 TR Luna Park 7/20
We were going into the city so we stopped in to the newest park around in Coney Island. We got there a little after 4 PM and were lucky enough to get a metered parking spot on the street.
The entrance to Luna Park looked good and the park was a little busier than I would have expected for a weekday afternoon. We waited a few minutes to buy the "Luna Card" and put the 16 credits we would need to get a ride on both coasters. There were modest lines at both coasters.
The coasters are nothing special. A spinning mouse and a small family coaster. The park looked nice and it was so much more clean than Astroland ever was. There were a few interesting rides. Thery had a Disc'o and a the Air Race is a new Zamperla ride. We passed on those and got a quick ride on the Cyclone instead. All told we were in and out in about 30 minutes, but I can see Luna Park being a successful family style park.

Thanks, Ed. Luna Park is a park that people can walk through without paying admission? Also, if you hadn't found the metered street parking, where would you have parked?

Luna Park has no admission charge. You can buy the bracelets or pay by the ride which we did.
If we hadn't gotten the metered parking there are many lots nearby that charge way more than the quarters I put in the meter. Also, the city runs a lot that is next to the NY Aquarium which is very close.

And who’s the cre-ho? We’re not planning to even go there this year and if/when we do, we’ll be riding more than just the coasters.

We were 11 miles away. How many times have you been 11 miles away from a coaster you haven't ridden and didn't go ride it? ZERO!!!! We did grab a ride on the Cyclone too, we just didn't do any flats.

Wrong again! We’ve driven by Magic Forest in Lake George many times over the years and have never had the desire to stop.

 Re: TR Luna Park 7/20
Hmmm. If it was $2.00 to ride their one coaster instead of $17.99 you wouldn't have stopped?
